Austria: Celebration of promotion and friendship!

This was the last game for Austria Salzburg in Regionalliga as they got promoted to 2nd division a week ago.

Days before the last match this season the fan section was sold out. About 1900 spectators filled the ground which is about maximum capacity.They all wanted to celebrate the champions!

There was more to celebrate in this match. Curva Viola has a 15 years old friendship with ultras from Udinese Calcio and SS Barletta Calcio, so actually they celebrated 15th anniversary of this friendship as well as promotion to 2nd division.

Udinese were represented with members from Collettivo IncUdine, Friulani al seguito, Ultras Udinese, Hooligans Teddy Boys and ex-Nord Kaos. Barletta came to Austria with members from Gruppo Erotico.

Before the match fans had a barbecue in front of the stadium and atmosphere was brilliant. As intro for the game Union Ultra made an amazing display. on a big flag a grandfather sat with his niece and nephews and told them the story about the reestablishment of Austria Salzburg. When one part of the flag was taken down they displayed a text with "They talked about todays game".

Even thought Austria Salzburg already were promoted the players did a good job and won 4-1. In second half Tough Guys arranged the intro and made a choreo for the 15th anniversary friendship with Barletta.

After final-time fans and players celebrated together and the celebration continued in the city during the night.

10 years after Red Bull Salzburg stole "Austria Salzburg", they are now back in professional football league!
