Under the motto "maintenance of the fan culture" (Erhalt der Fankultur) German Ultras met up in Berlin Saturday 9th of October to protest against repression of the fan culture.
Groups from FC Kaiserslautern, FC Köln, Union Berlin, FSV Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern München, Sankt Pauli, Hamburger SV, Hertha BSC, Hannover 96, Dynamo Dresden, Werder Bremen, is just some who was represented in Berlin this day. In total about 4000 supporters! Groups met up with demo T-shirts, banners and flags, all fans together to fight against repression.
Better kick-off time, lower ticket prices, police violence, commercialization, safety regulations of the clubs (like bans) and pyrotechnic was some of the main topics for this protest.
Weeks before the protest took place in Berlin groups already started to promote the demonstration showing banners at different matches. Example is Hertha BSC - Alemannia Aachen, where a bigger banner with "Today in the curve - Saturday on the road!" was shown from the East Stand.
