"It was to be a spectacular 161st derby both on the stands and on the pitch. The top of the table from Bratislava was a away at the second place on equal points from Trnava. For the intro there was a simple but beautiful choreography on the home curve, followed by some pyrotechnics. The guests lit a lot of blue smoke, accompanied by a large banner. Due to the corona regulations in Slovakia, the derby was already sold out in advance with 9,000 visitors. (50% of the total capacity of the stadium). The guests from Bratislava also took their entire contingent and arrived with a mob of 450 men.

On the way to the stadium, the situation threatened to escalate several times. The home fans tried a few times to get through to the guests - due to massive police presence, however, no sucess. The home corner was supported by their friends Baník Ostrava and GKS Katowice. (A total of 50 Czechs and 30 Poles were present). On the other hand, Slovan Bratislava came with support from Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic - Wisła Krakow, Ruch Chorzów, Zbrojovka Brno and Austria Wien were the companions of the capitalists.

After a few minutes of playing time, we suddenly saw a banner above the guest block with the inscription "VZDY NAD VAMI", which translates as "always about you". Not only that, one of the people who had placed the banner there (it went so fast, you couldn't really see it) threw two smoke bombs into the guest block – these in the colors of Spartak Trnava – red and black. A large mob reacted quickly and saw the banner waving above, broke through the blockades to the upper floor and, once at the top, could hardly believe it. They could not explain how and when this had happened and they searched in vain for the "Perpetrator". What a great action of the home side – you have to do it that way first.

Slovan lads reacted with throwing flares on home fans in nearby sector. Suddenly I was bumped into several times from behind – a relatively large mob of Trnava ran right next to me, masked towards the guest block.

Not hesitated for long, the first hooligans jumped onto the pitch and ran towards the guest block. More and more came and the situation began to escalate completely. Now it actually took a few minutes and there were violent clashes on the pitch. An incomprehensible mass brawl with countless hooligans from both sides. The situation was completely escalating and it was clear to us by now at the latest that the game would definitely not be continued here.

At the end of the day, there were many injured on both sides, two of whom were seriously injured and had to be treated by the emergency doctor. This is guaranteed to have a big aftermath for both sides. After some time, both camps were driven into their blocks by the riot police. Slovan again threw many flares on home fans and presented a banner that means "Trnava are clowns from the gypsy district". Southside is the main group of Red-Blacks and Osada is a large gypsy district.

The special unit of the police finally cleared the away sector and hit everything that moved and that started new riots in away sector in which even entire garbage cans flew at the police. Tear gas was used several times and crazy scenes took place. Finally, the entire guest mob was beaten out of the stadium and then escorted to the train station

Officially, the derby was interrupted in the 15th minute, after almost 50 minutes it was finally stopped by the referee. How this game is evaluated, how long it actually lasted, nobody really knows exactly. For me, on the other hand, it was only one of many visits to Trnava – from that point of view, time does not matter to me here anyway."
